In recent weeks, we have followed with great interest the news about the #Coronavirus. News that initially came from China, South Korea and Iran and then quickly came close for us as Italians. Our family and friends live in #Italy, where the situation is currently dramatic. Social life has come to a complete standstill.
The measures that these Countries have been taken are not accidental, but they are stringent initiatives aiming at containing, mitigating or completely eradicating the spread of the virus.
After the note released by the WHO, which formally declared that this virus represents a #Pandemia, we took a moment to reflect on what to do and we came to the conclusion that everyone should find an answer to the question: What can we do as political leaders, business leaders, employees, workers, individuals and as a Community in its entirety to help contain and mitigate the virus, with the hope to avoid the dramatic and disastrous consequences, in terms of deaths, of its exponential spread?
#Belcapo is a wonderful place to socialize and spend great moments in good company and as such it is a place that can easily contribute to the spread of the virus among its guests and its staff.
We absolutely want to prevent that and as business leaders we want to give our little contribution to the most important #MEASURE to contain and mitigate the propagation of the Coronavirus, which is #SOCIALDISTANCING, aiming to drop the transmission rate that the virus follows to a rate so that it eventually dies out.
We want to take our responsibility and have therefore decided to temporarily close our restaurant to the public from March 12, 2020, at least for a period of 2 weeks.
As long as our restaurant is closed, we fully focus on home delivery and takeaway of our pasta and pizza dishes via https://belcapo.nl/thuiseten
so that you can continue to enjoy our authentic Italian dishes while being at home with with your loved ones.
We are confident that even now, by avoiding social contacts, we can prevent the situation from taking on the same proportions as in countries such as China and Italy.
As Italian President Giuseppe Conte so beautifully said a few days ago: “Let’s keep our distance today, in order to be able to embrace each other with more warmth again tomorrow”.
